Did you know that forests are home to more that 50% of our plant and animal population?Forests contain more small animals than large and more vegetarians (planet eaters) than carnivores (meat eaters). Depending on the type of forest, you will find moose, elk, reindeer, bear, beaver, wolf, weasel, otter, salamanders, frogs, puma (mountain lions), bear, gray wolf, elk (deer), Siberian tiger, snow leopard, kangaroo, wombat, chimpanzee, gorilla, Indian cobra, orangutan, jaguar, monkey, leopard, parrot, iguana and tree frogs... whew!! During winter some of the animals hibernate and others may migrate.
